Fashion for Obama

Now that Barack Obama is the Presidential Democratic Nominee, Obama hysteria has soared to higher heights. From signs to youtube videos in his honor to custom made Barack Obama apparel adorned by the likes of Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Will.I.Am, and, John Legend, the whole world is acknowledging this amazing man. With that said, the fashion world has also taken their stance as Obama supporters. The fashion industry's most powerful woman, Anna Wintour has publicly endorsed the presidential hopeful. Furthermore, fashion's key players, Calvin Klein, Andre Leon Talley, and of course Anna Wintour are chairing an evening with Michelle Obama. The fundraiser will be held in New York City. The cost, an astounding $1,000 a person. For an even more astounding $2,300 guest can have their photo taken with the "future" first lady. Could this have an impact on the fashion industry? Well indeed it has and it will. As the photos show, celebrities are using fashion to make powerful statements. Obama's face can be seen on the numerous t-shirts worn by celebrities or on footwear( Will.I.Am had custom Barack Obama sneakers designed). The image of his face and his famous sayings, " Yes We Can" and "Hope" are also seen on Obama apparel. He has he music industry, and most importantly the fashion industry on his side. It can only get better from here.
